VITA Born 1948 in Esslingen/Germany Technical school for arts & crafts -Engraver (drawing/engraving on gold, silver, brass copper) School for economics -marketing, public relation, administration Free Academy of Arts in Nürtingen -painting course The artist specialised herself in her works more and more on painting with graphite on canvas, wood, metal, drawing, etching (aquatinta), metal printing and engraving. In her works Ingalil Lang is looking for the antipole to the opulent colourfulness in our everyday life, yes, the oversaturation with pictured stimulus and loudness, people always are exposed to today. She mostly confines herself consciously on the more subtle effects of light and shade, of bright and dark between reflecting - oscillating. And she produces suspense by line and insinuation of shapes. Not seldom she assimilates in her works socio political themes that affect her with a striking symbolism.
